Executive Forums Group Gets Insider's View of the World's Fastest Growing Economy
in Trip to Mainland China in May 2007

La Jolla, CA - Renaissance Executive Forums, a leading provider of advisory board services for a company’s top executive, just completed an unprecedented trip to Mainland China for several of its members. The La Jolla California-based Company led an expedition for members from all over the world that combined interaction with government and business leaders in major Chinese cities with tourist-related visits and activities.

The starting point was Beijing, with tours of Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Panda Exposition at the Beijing Zoo. The group saw the progress of the fantastic Olympic Village and the venues being prepared for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. A highlight was the visit to one of the wonders of the world, The Great Wall. Later, traveling by rickshaw, the group visited traditional Chinese housing and a local elementary school.

The group flew to Yichang where they boarded the Victoria Queen cruise ship and began a three-day cruise down the Yangtze River. One of the first sights was the three Gorges Dam project. The Three Gorges will be the world’s largest dam when completed in 2008. The ship traveled through the locks of the dam and then through the spectacular Wu and Qutang gorges. The cruise featured beautiful scenery and wonderful shore excursions to small towns along the way.

After a brief stop in Chongquing (population 30 million!), the group flew to Xian, best known today for having one of the most impressive sights in the world…the Terra-Cotta Army. The group also visited the Wild Goose Pagoda and enjoyed the Tang Dynasty Dinner show in the evening.

The last stop was Shanghai, where the group conducted business meetings with local executives and governmental leaders. Throughout the trip members learned much about Chinese business operations and the opportunities for mutually beneficial business relationships.

The group left impressed with both the history and the future of this dynamic country and its people.
